Richard Witham LSINWP has been a landscape, wildlife and travel photographer for over 30 years and is based in the North East of England on the Yorkshire/Durham border. This location gives ideal access to some of the best scenery and wildlife habitats available in England. It also serves as a central location for links to the rest of the UK and overseas.
Richard Witham has travelled extensively and so far has been fortunate to visit 6 of the 7 continents during the last 5-10 years. Many ot the pictures captured on these trips can be viewed in the gallery files on this website.
Richard Witham has used a combination of both film and digital technology to capture the image. However, most images are now captured using either a Canon 1DS MkIII or Canon 1D MkIV along with a range of Canon lenses from fisheye (15mm) through to telephoto (500mm). More recently, a Gigapan Pro has also been used with the Canon cameras to capture large resolution panoramics.
Richard Witham has established a print studio to enable high quality prints up to 24 inches wide to be produced to a number of media including canvas and fine art paper. These are produced using the latest pigment based inks which give claimed longevity of over 100 years.
